Starr Orthopedics & Sports Medicine announced today it will offer a Saturday Sports Clinic weekly throughout high school football season beginning Saturday, August 23, 2025. Dane Bolton, DO, sports medicine-trained orthopedic surgeon, will provide treatment in the clinic for all athletes with non-emergent injuries.

“The Saturday Sports Clinic provides athletes convenient access to specialized care soon after their injury occurs,” said Dr. Bolton. “When athletes are assessed and receive the appropriate treatment soon after the injury happens, we can take action to prevent it from becoming worse and give the athlete a better chance at a faster recovery. No one wants to miss a game because of an injury, and we’re committed to getting athletes back to playing the sport they love as quickly as possible.”

Athletes do not need to make an appointment to be treated, the Saturday Sports Clinic is walk-in only, but patients do need to arrive at 7:45 a.m. to be seen. Patients should bring their insurance card at the time of their visit. Services include splinting, bracing and casting, with onsite x-ray and access to additional medical imaging services at Starr Regional Medical Center.

Starr Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is located in the Athens Medical Mall at 719 Cook Drive, Suite 104, Athens.
